I suspected the grass behind was as sharp or sharper. Hard to tell from the size of image. Intrestingly though, now we are talking about oof in minute level ;} Anyhow, I like the shot because it gives me the sense of the depth very well. Looking forward to see what you are going to experiment with this lens.
I had an odd thing happen today. I was making some test shots with the 50MP, and found that I couldn't focus where I wanted. I tried the center of the view, no problem. Tried again a bit lower and to the left, and again missed, by quite a bit. I tried both with and without the focus point assistance, but I just couldn't focus in that part of the photo. Very weird, and I can't explain it. I tried in other parts of the image, no problem. Just for some reason, for this one composition I couldn't get the focus right.
Has anyone experienced anything like that? What could it be, field curvature? It wasn't that far out in the field, just perhaps at the 1/3, 1/3 mark, from the bottom left. I was shooting wide open, Nikon D3.
@Hugo, which ND and/or CPL filters are using on your ZE 21 for your last rocky coastline shots?
@Carsten, yes I discovered last year while shooting the extra DOF the 50MP has over the 50 P and I see the same between my C/Y 35/1.4 and ZF 35/2. What I wonder is if this is true between the C/Y 100/2 Planar and the ZE 100/2. I only have the C/Y 100/2 and might want to get the 100MP if it has larger DOF stopped down for landscape. I remember Toothwalker did a comparison of the two awhile ago and found the 100MP to be slightly sharper at f2 only. But didn't know if he tested for different DOF while stopped down.
@Lars, nice portrait of the girl but I like the welder portrait even more with the blue colored smoke.
@OneAnt, I really like how everyone in you street shots are oblivious to your D700 while you are quite close to them with the ZF28. How are you so stealth?

Brilliant portrait, Lars! One of the best I have seen here. I wonder if a slightly more discreet frame might not give it even more "soul"...
Thank you philber. I'm a bit lazy when posting here and just use one of my "standard frames"

Thanks Wayne, prosep, OneAnt. And congrats on your new lens Vincent.
Nice street shooting OneAnt. And prosep I like this flower with a less busy background/foreground much more than the other

Something a little different for here. I was invited to a friend's apartment last night, with a view of the beach. The Red Bull X Fighters were in town, so here's a view of the arena - 2/35 ZF2 on a crop sensor.

I love the B&W's as of OneAnt & rji2goleez. As it seems the Zeiss lenses are extremely fine for B&W and I suspect, I will do a lot more B&W in the near future! Their powerful contrasty rendering does B&W very well. Lovely shots.
The 100MP is really excellent in picking up the fine details for B&W work. Here's a petal that I shot with the lens:
