Myxine: wonderful tones on both! Flower just pops out of screen! Great details! I like the second too with great, dramatic pose. And good choice on lens - I have same combo and very happy with it (though thinking to add 35mm eventually).
denoir: Great photos, I really like that first shot of the snow.
Malkovic: I like the peaceful feeling of your photos!
otacon: You're already putting that 35/2 to good use!
Almass: Great portraits with the 85/1.4, they really stand out for me.
carsten: Gotta agree with the rest, the bright parts just seem overexposed but they do lend the photo a sort a dreamy look.
rji2goleez: That statue (#1) really pops out of the photo!
Diploneis: That first photo has amazing detail and texture captured of the rocks.
Myxine: Congrats on getting the 21 and 100, you're going to love using them a lot. And you've already started with some great photos.
Akul, Bob and Martynas, I guess we all agree: there is something interesting there, but it isn't fully developed. I need to go back and try again. I would like to back to this exact spot and see if I can develop the vision better, and of course also try other, similar panos. As Akul said, I like the feeling of cascading depths, but I think I might also try at f/2.8 or f/4, to get more differentiation in the depths, and more sharpness in and around the focal plane.
alkanphel, the background highlights I meant to overexpose, and the HDR treatment was meant to take care of the flowers, I guess I need to spend more time learning how to work with masks, to get both parts right at the same time.
I must say that I am very happy to be able to post a shot, and get valuable criticism, rather than simply being ignored or getting dumped on. It is a great forum we have here.

Bob, I really like that B&W bicycle shot! Martynas, very nice B&W moon shots, and Myxine, I love that second shot. I not much of a fan of male nudes, in general (I am also pretty critical with female nudes, but my genes let more through under the radar), and I am also not much of a fan of super-wides with exaggerated perspectives, but this shot really works!
Martynas, great sets! The moon photos are really fantastic!
Bob, nice shots - the shot of the bikes is my favorite.
Myxine, great B/W shots. Excellent texture on the rose. I really like the tonality in both shots.
Rasmus, I really like #1.
otacon, very nice processing.
Malkovic, love the colors in your shots!
Carsten, I think you have the right idea in your shot but there are two things that don't really work for me - the blown highlights which form sharp edges in areas that should be OOF and the lack of sharpness in the focal plane.
I agree about the lack of sharpness in the plane of focus. I thought it was due to the processing (I am somewhat lazy about sharpening in PP) but in fact when I went back and checked, it wasn't really especially sharp, even in the individual shots. I need to figure out why that happened, as I was on a solid tripod with a strong pano head. Perhaps using 9FPS to get the 5 shots for the HDR bit introduces too much vibration, even at higher shutter speeds
In fact, the whole MLU/timer thing is one area where Canon does better than Nikon. That mirror should just stay up until the whole thing is done.
About the hard edges in the OOF leaves, I kinda wanted to just get funky background stuff happening with the 100MP. I have to see if it works once I get the composition and sharpness right. Maybe it will, maybe not.
I am definitely going back with more patience planned for next time. Thanks for the comments.
Carsten, one more thing - for a full appreciation of large aperture stitches/large format emulation, you really must look at the images BIG or the effect is lost.
Here's an example. I've probably posted it before - it was one of my early stitching experiments with the Gigapan Epic. It's a stitch of 25 images.
First a small version and then a larger one:
You see how the effect is almost lost in the first one?
Philippe why do you keep hauling the big thing around at all?
your NEX shots make me want a NEX too - with some smallish Zeiss glass off course
the 3D certainly comes through. Does it feel as good as with the 50 P or 85 to you?
Denoir, you have captured some really good light there. My favorite is the second one.
so many good pictures, I have a hard time catching up, therefor only commenting on the last ones

Yes, I see that. The second version is also bigger than my screen though I am hoping that through more careful choice of composition, better attention to sharpness and avoiding the blowouts of the highlights on the flowers in the focal plane that I can make it an attractive shot even at smaller sizes, but maybe I can't. I'll see, I guess.
there's a true vertigo shot
it's only a question about what's next after the nex ;-)
Nikon is apparently also preparing something small, and so are certainly other companies.
Sensors are still getting better, so that will be passed down to the small cameras at some point. I would also turn to a lighter package with no regrets, I find my D700 to heavy already, and all the Zeiss glass I keep buying does not help. But I am also doing some wildlife shooting and can you imagine a 500 on the NEX?
but we are getting OT here...
I am waiting for some shots of the 35/1,4 and for everybody to sell their 35/2,0 so I can finally pick up a used one
Carsten - It has been quite an inspirational dialogue. I respect the way how you approach your work, and I am looking forward to see where you go with this subject.
Almass - Wonderful set of portrait with 85.
Bob - The second shot with 50MP, bicycle and reflection is my favorite.
Martynas - B/W rock and moon series is just stunning. Great texture and detail. From your morning shots, #2 and #4 stood out to me with their great color and the skyfor the #4. Man that sky is just beautiful.
Mixine - #2 is quite a shot with great composition. Wonderful tone.
Alkanphel - Lovely closeups. #2 is my favorite
RZetter - I just love Zeiss color rendition when I see photos like these. #1's tree and OOF area, just hit the right string for me.
Philber - Great details from the ZM35 f/2.8 shots. I love the #1. However, I hope you wait a sec on selling your DSLR though, because, I also loved the 'unique angle' shot with 5DII. When it comes to the tonality of darker area of stone, Full sensor 5DII to me shows off the warmth and subtlety very nicely. Something I am struggling with NEX.
Denoir - Beautiful images. I get a sense of very crisp and fresh air from your photos. Love the first one with ZM18, and shot of ice with 100MP. Crack on ice with water reflection is quite a strong contrast and beautiful imagery. Fantastic shot.
