I'm hooked! Again at the factory, both with ZE35 on a 1DsIII. I must say that this type of light really makes these lenses shine. To me, this is light to die for anyway, and I could've made a decent image with a cheap p&s.
Snowman, those flowers are fabulous! I especially like the spoke leaves in the FG. I can see the 21mm distortion, but this type of comp is very forgiving.
Sorry to say, Charles, but, according to your logic, the latecomers should pay this commission to the early adopters....of which I happen to be one....
Shit! Did you really have to post that just today, just the day when nobody will believe you?

And while the 35 is a great lens, probably more flawless than the 21.
I think it's the other way around.
So much is clear, both lenses do statues well. Here is the 2/35 on a grey sky day with lots of rain. I only got a few out of 212 sculptures at this location, and I should take another plunge when the weather is better.
Thanks, John Black, for comparing Zeiss with Leica! I think it is like a good side note in this ZE thread. Both perform great, but I prefer Leica in these shots.
I'm falling in love with how that Leica 75/2 APO renders its Bokeh and in focus subject. The OoF area is extremely painterly. The 100/2 definitely has great characteristics too. The 75/2 APO being $3,500 makes me weep ;_;
As somebody else said in another thread, the light was great, so even a cell phone camera could have taken a good picture that afternoon. Picking between the 75 APO & 100 ZE is kind of a joke since both lenses are sharp, have great bokeh, etc., etc., etc. The difference(s) is really the composition, pose, etc. I'm leaning towards the 75 APO these days, but I think the 100/2 would be a better 3/4 length or full length portrait lens (assuming there's enough working distance). The 75 APO seems better suited for close-in shooting, but there is a high risk of focus error (ie - F2 + rangefinder + moving subject + short distance = need LOTS of good Karma!!!)

There is also ZM 85mm f2. Just curious how it compares with leica, comes with a similar price tag.
