rsolti13 - Wonderful series with ZF21 and ZF100. From ZF21, I like the first one, B/W tree in vertical position. Almost felt like it was IR shot. From ZF100, the door shot and the last shot are my favorite. Regarding infinity, I have to look into that. I don't think it did, but now I am dealing with NEX adapter that is always passing infinity I am getting a bit confused.
Bob - Superb set of URBEX. Those are all beautiful. Super beautiful capture of light on the first set. Love that tin can in pool of light. Second set is even stronger. Each one of them is composed perfectly. Lights on the second series are more subtle but very effective. Wonderful. Floor texture of the last shot is gold.
Jonahill - Got to take the blue pill, right ? Nice color.
Gary - Beautiful mountain shot with ZF25 and NEX. It looks like that is a winner combination. Good to see shots from ZF25!
Sami - Wonderful portraits. Second shot is beautiful. Light, composition is perfect. Zeiss always amazes me with depiction in dark shaded area. Wonderful smile too.
kevphoto - I particularly like the 21 shot and 35 shot. Color on the 35 is very satisfying. Beautiful.
Bob, one of your best sets. I just love your first and last shots, though the best one, for me, is the second, with tremendous composition. Congratulations!
Akul, another wonderful set, where the first one takes the prize IMHO. A wall-hanging shot, with brilliant composition and great colours.
Bob, excellent series! You ever encounter anyone at these abandoned buildings?
Akul, you are getting excellent results with the NEX and ZF glass. Do you have a pic of how that combo looks? I am interested in the size of the ZF on there.

Thanks. I try to pick times where I am least likely to run into anyone. To date, I've been quite lucky. Part of my approach is knowing something about a particular site, how often it's patrolled and/or any stories of homeless, drugs, etc.
The sites I visit are certainly visited by others but I haven't run into them. I tend to find Sunday early morning the best time . . .
Philber, Morfeus, AhamB, rsolti13 - Thank you so much for your kind words.
rsolti13 - Sorry I don't have any photos taken, but will try to take some. As ZF35 is a bit on the long side as a lens, it does get 'handful', but it still is pretty comfortable in my hand. NEX's live view resolution seems much higher than D700 which makes focusing a pleasure. I like the #4, the oily asphalt texture and leaves and water is a great composition.
Haven't posted for a long time but i look at the pics everyday, i want to contribute with a few pics, not like the ones you've posted but i hope you like them, happy new year by the way.
Wonderful set Uzay ! Great texture on the first shot. It gives me the feeling of slippery dock. Guy peaking is making the #2 very unique. #3, #4, and #6 are my favorites. Great compositions, love to look at all details I can see on the picture. #4 is a nice change of pace in this series. And I love the light, shadow and composition of the #6.
I hope you guys don't mind if I jump into the foray here... I am just happy to say that I picked up a ZE 35/2. It is actually my second however the first was defective and unfortunately had to be returned. I am glad I did not give up on it though.
I apologize in adavance, one or two might be cross posts.
Gary: love the first one! Sami: excellent portraits of this most beautiful woman! Rsolti: great series with wonderful clarity, depth and colors! Kevphoto: superb light and composition! Bob: would make a good environment for some cool computer game - love em! Akul: all are nice, but first is a gem! Uzay: lovely city scenes! Helimat: lovely series, love the last one! Bob: great style! I like them all! Rsolti: those panos are just wonderful!
Haven't been busy celebrating But today took camera with me while walking my wolf in the morning...
Sanjay...I have seen the distortion is about 1 out of 100 shots...literally. It comes up when shooting very detailed (and straight) architecture. For anything else, hardly can tell. For infinity landscapes you won't notice on a pano. I think anyone in this forum will tell you, the distortion talk is very overblown
Diploneis what is that at the top of the hill...a large 'M'?
ZF 21
if you take a straight ruler and look at this one you can see a faint amount of distortion.....
helimat - Congrats on 35. I really like the #2 and #4. Color of sky and texture of moving water on #2 is beautiful.
rsolti13 - Wonderful sets. From the ZF100, #2 and #4 correspond very nicely with 'short' construction barrier and 'short' bench. The switch board color and texture is just my liking. And wonderful panos ! Did you use a pano head ??
And, the #1 from the ZF21, the color is wonderful.
Diploneis - That is a very beautiful set. I really enjoy seeing the time passing through pictures. Starting with darker blue to brighter to orange. It makes me feel like I was there.
frazer - thanks for your comment. I did not do much of anything special with these. I think half of them were even JPG files, so it is mainly the WB and the way how Sony treats color, and of course Zeiss lens . One thing I tried on these which was new, I tried to use sharpening in LAB mode and only on L channel as Makten often describes. It was just a try and I am not so sure what the difference this makes yet. Much to study.
Akul, thanks. Nothing special for the panos, just a Markins ball head. It works for the simple shots. The ZF 100 was a little more difficult as it was taken with the last bit of light and is 2 shots vertical by 9 shots horizontal so the coloring changed quite drastically going from one side to the other. That gigapan deal is way too much for what I do
