That solves the mystery. Great shots. I am playing with the idea of getting NEX so that I can play with great ZM lenses, especially now I see wonderful results posted by Philber with his NEX project, it is a tempting possibility. How do you like your Biogon? How do you like M8? I saw some comment on IR issue of some sort. I love Leica design, but it is out of my focus range.
Akul
Akul, the best thing about the M line is the size. Very portable and some of the glass is excellent, like the Biogon 25 f/2.8 and a couple others. The ZM 25 2.8 is one of my favorite lenses I have ever used. The lack of an AA filter is very nice for the times when you want extreme sharpness. For the most part, the IR issue can be avoided with filters, coding, etc. It is just a major pain. The NEX does look like a very good option as well as Philippe is showing. The ability to use so many different mount lenses with the various adapters is very interesting.

So many fine shots on this forum, and especially the wintry captures…Wishing all Zeiss photographers here a memorable, enjoyable holiday season
teh_rebel - Nice !! 21 really accentuate the scale of cruise ships. Lovely shots, of your nieces and nephews. Love the effect of bokeh, it adds story quite a bit. Envious of the blue sky !
rsolti13- Nice capture of light shining through fountain water spray. I really like the B/W fallen foliage, very nice B/W.
Blueshadows - Beautiful shot. Very poetic, beautiful color, painterly rendition. I love your choice of focus point, we can 'see' the rest in our mind.

Thanks for the explanation. M8, M9 shots are very impressive. May be some day. For now, NEX intrigues me also with a video option with shallow DOF look. I can see how good ZM25 2.8 are from your shots as well as shots I see in other threads. For NEX, 25 would be a good FL with crop factor for me, but wonder about reported color shift with WA range finder lenses with NEX. As you mentioned, what is interesting with NEX is the variety of adaptors available. I will most likely start with a F adapter and play with ZFs and Nikkors on NEX before jumping in to the wonderful unknown ZM land
Akul, I would be very interested to see your ZF shots on NEX. But, in my opinion, small lenses are an integral part of a successful experience. I tried a large lens on my NEX (Sony 18-200), and though it was quite good and had AF and a great focal range, I did not buy it. Too big, at which point it became too close to a full DSLR.
I was hoping you may jump in I see your point, and you are probably right. For video, size does not matter to me as much, as it is still quite small setup. For stills, it becomes questionable, I know I know. Well, my CY 28 is quite small, and that may be the one with NEX for a while. Yes, I will definitely post ZF results when / if I get NEX. ( Pretty close, but this will be a 'shared' camera, so it takes a little more than just my impulse to make a decision )
I am (still, grrr...!!!) waiting for an adapter for my C/Y25 on my NEX, and this is just about the maximum size lens which makes sense to me. In that sense, I agree with, a 28 C/Y is just about the perfect single focal length for this camera, and still small enough and defintely good enough. Have fun!

I hope finding an adapter does not become a huge project ! Your ZM35 shots look great, and of course I am salivating big time. What is your findings with other FL with ZM series? Color issues, focus issues with NEX ?
So I just got this BEAUTIFUL Zeiss lens, and I gotta say that while I'm not used to manual focusing yet, I now know that I chose wisely when I ordered the ZE 35/2! I just got a visit from my brother and his daughter so I got some practice during her dinner They're not close to what many of you guys post, but as my first day with the lens I like them.
Starting to get hungry going through the kitchen drawers
