facas - I love the dramatic color difference between two different light source. You took the challenging lighting situation to your advantage. Very nice !! Also the b/w shot is very nicely done.
Bob - Nice set from Chicago. Third shot is great !
Makten - Beautiful shot!!
jph1 - Wonderful shot, great sky and reflection.
mjassbong - congratulation on your ZE35 and soon 100MP. Very nice color and bokeh on the flower. Beautiful capture of light and sky on the pier shot.
More from ZF100MP
I find focusing in long distance being quite challenging. Is that the case with you all? Typically, I am shooting about 3-5 shots to tune just focusing, then lighting changes, people walk into shots, dogs ran across, a huge truck parks right in front of me and I lose my shot A wonderful lesson of detachment, sometimes, just shooting photograph can be !! ha ha ( shooting wide aperture does not make it any easier either. )
You have mentioned few times about the 'spectacular' tendency of 100MP. I played with ZF 85 just for few minutes at store and was amazed by the difference between these two in short to medium distance. It was a hard decision, in the end due to versatility of close focusing, fear of focus shift of 85, and possibly because I may choose AF lens for 85, I picked 100MP, and I am happy with it. However, from little I saw, 85 seemed very lovely. As you have both, I was wondering what your thoughts are when shooting long distance between the two. I remember your door shots with 85 from early posts ( may be around page 20? )
Off the topic, but how is your NEX project going? What is your finding on zeiss on NEX ? Are you going to post some soon on other thread ??
akul, your shots make me willing to go outside shoting ... but it has been raining for 4 weeks here...
I love your 4th for light, focus choice and composition
about focusing with the 100MP ... have you ever tried the "Brightscreen" focusing screen?
Thanks Akul, Philber.
mjassbong: Love the second shot. Great colors.
Akul: Great composition on your second shot. It looks like the newer buildings are squeezing out the older one.
fracas - thank you. about focusing with the 100MP ... have you ever tried the "Brightscreen" focusing screen?
Thanks for the info. No, I only heard about Katz, I just checked Brightscreen's web site. I will look into it. I just recalibrated eyepiece and it is slightly better. Problem is with lower contrast scene, yet I am a bit concerned adding screen would darken view finder.
joakim - I like #2 and #3. Edge of rock and sky on the first one feels slightly abrupt, but if you did not mention you blended, I'd probably not notice. #2, to my eyes, it is seamless, even with expecting to see clue. I love the composition. PP is not my strength, I admire how well you do.
Jack - beautiful fern shots. Very nice color.
Bob - They are very different ! Very Tim Burton. A bit spooky. I like the #3
rsolti13 - #1 is a really lovely portrait. Beautiful B/W conversion. I am amazed how the highlight feels very strong while she still is beautifully lit. Was ref board used ?
I missed that there was yet another page of photos when I wrote my last comment.
Nice portraits Ryan, especially the b&w one.
Great composition in your photos Akul. Philippe, the second one was handheld which is even more impressive.
That construction looks fragile Philippe! Well done to include a person to show the size of that construction, otherwise I think the last one has the most interesting composition.
Thanks Philber, Joakim
Joakim is right, that subway shot is hand held. I would get in trouble if I used tripod and cops came by. Apparently, I can submit for permit, but never tried.
Philber - Great use of 28mm for the ferris wheel. Very pretty white on light blue. Second one gives an illusion as if the top part of ferris wheel is hovering over me. Great composition. Third one accentuate its gigantic-ness by the tiny-ness of the worker. That may be my most favorite.
