Although I'm at home with a nasty cold I could not resist the temptation to just go out for five minutes and take a few shots. My plans were however quickly thwarted by a newbie mistake - I ran out of film and had not brought any extra with me. You get 10 shots from a 120 film roll and I had shot 7 already. So I only managed to take three shots before I had to return.
Last time I took my MF camera out, I shot 3 frames on the whole day. Talk about different ways of photographing. I really prefer to slow down and take as few images as I can. Only good ones, that is.
I think it has to do with the increased DR of the A900.
Yes, I think so too. Increased DR is a good thing, so I guess it's a matter of getting used to a look that differs a tad from the majority of the shots in this thread.

Morten, nice shots. Those colors are fantastic. I think you've made your point about the A900 color rendering
Thanks! Very happy that I finally can mount the ZFs on the A900 as I've always liked the output from that camera (at iso 200 or below ).
Again, great stuff being added all the time. Inspiring!
Thanks akul! It's true that a DSLR is much more convenient.
Makten: What about the first time you used your MF camera? My typical rate with digital is between 20-40 images per hour. Often however I take multiple shots of the same subject varying the composition. It is the reason why I can keep up a regular stream of photos. The only down side is that I select the best batch first and then the quality drops off over time.
Thank you Mortyb, Luka It is great to compare the differences.
Sangdabom, great shots!
Hugo, great shots.
dj dunzie, excellent shots.
Luka, outstanding shots! Beautiful work with 85/1.4. You will be out of the competition here soon, if you can't find a Zeiss for the Pentax MF
Paul, nice shots!
imranaz, really like the angle of the #2.
Some shots this morning with the ZM 25/2.8 Biogon and M9, taken up in the hills at Springbrook.
Thanks Charles! No Zeiss glass for the Pentax I'm afraid, but I very much doubt that film MF will be anything more than a sideshow for me. It's just something to play around with. When the technology is good enough for me to go digital MF, I'll make sure to get a system that accepts Zeiss glass.
Thank you pdmphoto, Luka , Uzay and Philippe Excellent shots Luka! My feeling is that the 85/1.4 for mood style/setting shot is excellent, and is better suited than the 100MP IMO
Charles, yes I agree - the 85/1.4 is less clinical. I did have problems with flare though. I tried to take the third shot in the previous series with the 85/1.4 but this is what I got:
The sharpness to blur transition is much softer and works better in this case. The flaring is quite excessive though..
Charles.K: wonderfull nature series,
Imranaz: great bike shot motion/no-more-motion :-)
Denoir: love the lonely bench under the light.
Paul: beautiful object separation in your "mountain snaps"
