Dubaiphil, great fun shots. Really love the last one!
Lotus, your shot is superb IMHO! Re: your point, why is it that Leica backtracked on this issue from M8 to M9?

Thanks Philber. I had a tripod that turned into a bipod, which cut things short! Luckily I had taken the camera off the head at the time. Manfrotto CF as well - not amused.

I'll revisit tonight maybe - looking at the exif I may get away with F2-F5.6 at ISO 800-1000. Roll on full frame, when I wouldn't have to think/worry about these things!

2 splendid shots, Robert, with my preference going to the first with fewer clouds up close.

Philber - thanks. I think there's something more peaceful in the first versus the ominous clouds in the second.

Did Leica backtrack? I thought the M9 was, like the M8, made without an AA-filter.

Well, you sort of implied that by expressing your wish, Lotus. Else, the answer is simple: M9.

Very nice photos Bob, I also prefer the first one because it feels a little lighter.

Some recent shots with the 50mm 1.4 ZE, I am still getting used to this lens
1)

2)

3) Just a candid grab. Love the details though:

4)

5)

It has shown me enough that I went ahead and am picking up a 21 2.8 ZE. The 100 ZE seems very difficult to find used. I guess that is likely due to it being so new.

And those that have one aren't giving it up anytime soon.

I just bought a Nikon FM2, loaded it with Tri-X and put the ZF lenses on it.

35/2:

50/1.4:

Exposed for ISO 400, developed in D-76 1+1, 9:30 minutes at 20ºC.

Edit: Oh, and this is what the camera looks like...

Nice shots pinball_pw I like #2, and the great focus with #3 near MFD and lower light with Planar.

Really nice shots Makten I really like the camera. My first SLR was a Nikkormat FTN

rsolti13 - Stellar quality on that 50 MP. How much is that lens again?

Will likely have to wait a little but gorgeous shots, especially #1 and #3.

Ryan, excellent shots! The rendering on #1 and 3 are amazing, as this lens can be almost too sharp at times.
