That's all the Zeiss I have (at the moment) are the 21 and 100MP. It also seems I've forgotten just about every other lens in my bag . . .
Congrats on the 100 MP Bob!
Don't you think there is something..um..missing between 21 and 100 mm. How about a nice 35/2 or a 50 MP?
I do have the Canon 35 f/1.4L and I'm likely to stay with it (it's also relatively new but hasn't seen nearly as much use!) until I see what the new Zeiss 35 f/1.4 is like. Maybe a 50 MP but I'll need to learn what i have.

Luka, great shots and good info on tripods. i can't help but think this is a bit wasteful with some severe loss of portability though:
why not just use a bean bag.
That was my first day out with the Leica and I had both it and my 5DII with me. The tripod was for the latter. This was perhaps a month ago or so and the Leica has never been tripod mounted since. As you point out - there a severe loss of portability if you bring a tripod and without portability there is no point to the X1.

Luka, you got the X1 with the purple outlining? Neat
Thanks everyone for answering my questions about the Epson 3880. Much appreciated.
1. I have a question for 5D2/7D users who shoot with Zeiss glass. I find myself shooting JPG from time to time. If any of you shoot JPG, can you share your experiences with your color/contrast/sharpenss settings? I use Neutral and pp them a little bit in LR3. I am wondering if I can skip PP altogether and get usable pictures straight out of the camera.
Just seeking an input from the collective experience here.
Ajay, IMHO shooting JPEG and Zeiss run against each other. People shoot Zeiss in order to get the best shot they can. To achieve this, they sacrifice quite a bit of ease-of-use. To shoot JPG instead of RAW is exactly that: easy instead of ultimate quality. So the logic just doesn't appeal to me. But whatever floats your boat, I don't pretend that my brand of logic is the only one to be correct.
