I don't do a lot of close up work, but decided to get some shots of spring Rhododendrons. I recently moved from D700 to D800e, so now I'm looking closer and fussier than I did before... and have to recalibrate my expectations.
This is a personal experiment really, thought someone else might be interested.
D800e and Zeiss 35/2 Classic ZF at f4 near MFD... stopped down enough that most of the flower is in focus, and bokeh is still pretty good.
