I did some test shooting with the new Milvus 35/1.4 at Potawatomi Conservatory (South Bend, Indiana) yesterday. Here are a few samples. Bokeh is absolutely gorgeous (in a "modern" way, nothing like the wonky bokeh that I often like for flowers), so nothing to worry about if you are thinking of upgrading from the "classic" Z* version. These are all wide open with minimal processing in ACR.
I am planning to go to Lofoten, is 35mm enough to cover the mountain backdrop. I’ve see some images here but not sure where they were shooting, could be from the cruise ship or some Hill.? Tnx
It's been while since I've posted. Winter has been cold here in Wisconsin and I guess I'm more of a "fair" weather shooter Last night was unusually pleasant out so I went for a walk with the Df / Zeiss 28f2...
Researching possible locations for tomorrow´s lunar eclipse I found this one in the archive. The moon will climb along the ridge of the Lyngen Alps in the background during the eclipse tomorrow....
ANGEL OF PRAYER - This is a stain glass window who's loving warmth glows with a beautiful heavenly light that can be found at our local church.
It was commissioned back in 1892 from Tiffany in New York by one of the church's parishioners in memory of his wife who passed at the early age of 34.
For the last 128 years, this Angel has watched over the faithful from high above the choir loft at Trinity Episcopal Church in Oshkosh Wi and can also be seen by all as you drive past the front of the church at night. It is a magnificent and beautiful sight that must be seen in person to be truly appreciated.
Was able to attend some live music tonight. Had my Df / Zeiss 135 APO along and decided to take a few casual shots... Lighting was absolutely horrible (all shot at iso 8000) but the music was fantastic! Very heavy crops...
