This is a composite image of the Durango & Silverton Railroad, Colorado. The landscape part of the image was shot in the mid-morning and the train was shot around noon when it passed over the bridge. I added the light beam for effect in PS.

Karlovy Vary skyline in blue hour (manual blending of 2 exposures, shooting settings are for shadows, highlights are exposed at -4 EV EC)
Canon EOS 6D + Zeiss Makro-Planar T* 2/100 ZE, ƒ/8.0, 30 sec., ISO 100
What I like is the particular color rendering and this "3d pop" the Zeiss have.
So, for portrait, some landscape and close pictures (like flowers no particular "macro" needs) what would be the best choice (given my budget ~2 200 €/$) - Used lenses is not an option as here in France this market for Zeiss lenses is very "slow" :
- Milvus 85 f1.4 + Nikon 20 mm f1.8
- Milvus 100 f2 + Nikon 20 f1.8
- Distagon 25 f2 + ?
- Just a Milvus 135 f2 (the "old" one made me like this particular Zeiss look)

Hi, Craggan.
I don't dare to give an advice as I only own just one Zeiss lens (100 MP) at the moment. But I could share my findings as I've been following this thread since my registration here on FM in 2011.
If you need 3D-Zeiss-look lenses, I would name some as follows: definetely 100 Makro-Planar and 25/2 Distagon. They are truly wonderful and have specific look at any aperture. Wide open they are sharp (enough) and produce 3D look. Both 35mm options are very good also but I find Sigma 35Art is a fair replacement considering price factor. I used to have 50/1.4 Planar that is lovely from f/2 to f/4 for 3D rendering. 50MP is also very praised yet has very noticable field curvature (not welcome for landscape scenes). 85 Planar is a nice lens but 100MP is more versatile and has more specific look. Hope it helps.

3D? oh noooo not again. okay SOME say it doesn't exist!!! but if you're ready to see the truth... here's my list.
in order...first being top 3D.
2/35 classic distagon ze
1.4/50 classic planar ze
2/50 classic makro planar ze
2/100 classic makro planar ze
that's it for now....as I am still extracting my other zeiss lens capabilities regarding 3D.
