Thank you everyone for the previous likes! Here is one taken with my newly acquired 21mm ZF.2 handheld with the Nikon Df. I know I should use my RRS tripod more often, but sometimes I'm just out for an enjoyable walk with my golden retriever and it's not convenient to bring it along...but always like to have my Df and at least one lens with me...sorry for the ramble.
I have question for those hikers who use zeiss lenses. And I know I will get burned by asking this question. Since most people here used zeiss lenses I 'll ask anyway.
What do you recommend for small backpack that evens out the weight or takes out the weight out of your back... it started hurting back when started carrying two lenses, milvus 1.4/50 & 2/100 with 5d2 for hiking. Stayed away from those bags with built in compartments what I do is ihave separate thin cases for each lens and camera lens combo.. then put them in one bag. Any suggestions? Tnx

Can't make a specific recommendation for a bag, but anything with a strap across the chest and a strap around the waist should work, and keep both nice and tight. I hike with other stuff in the bag so I use a LLBean rucksack with the camera and lenses in a smaller bag that I keep near the top. With water added in the bag is always a little heavy but as long as all the weight isn't on my shoulders it's fine.

Traffic in this thread seems down quite a bit. Where did so many of the regular posters in the old days go?
Did that many people move to Sony?
Have the ZE/ZF lines in particular lost that much popularity? Maybe the first party lenses gotten better to the point that people don't buy Zeiss as much today?

Dave,
I just switch from Canon back to Nikon again. Instead of buying the Nikon trinity lenses, I am actually buying Zeiss lenses. Call me crazy, after I discover the 2/35 then I pick up 2.8/21, 2/135 and buying 2/28 next. I wondering why I didn't discover Zeiss when I first shoot Nikon back in 2010, I just love the way that Zeiss rendering the photo.
