Traffic in this thread seems down quite a bit. Where did so many of the regular posters in the old days go?
Did that many people move to Sony?
Have the ZE/ZF lines in particular lost that much popularity? Maybe the first party lenses gotten better to the point that people don't buy Zeiss as much today?
Some folks need to revive this thread!
I finally just picked the lens I've been wanting forever; the 100/2 Makro Planar. Had to surrender my old friend and its brother the CY 100/2 Planar, but I'm really liking what I'm seeing from it so far especially on the macro end. Now I just need a set of tubes. Here are a couple first shots from it on the Sony A7. Dying to see the output with it on the Canon 1DX.

I haven't picked up my 135/2 APO in quite a while, but I now own the TT85 which I'll be posting a lot with.

Nice job with the colors on the second photo. I find the 5DIII really tends to over-saturate reds and pinks, but this looks great.
Photo cross posted in the Sony FE Image Thread and taken the evening of April 16, 2016 about 32 minutes before sunset looking at some of the buildings at Lock Ridge Park (the site of an old Iron Furnace works), Alburtis, PA. Image taken with my tripod mounted A7r M V3 and my Zeiss 35mm f1.4 Distagon ZM lens. ISO 400, lens set to f11 for 1/160 second. Processed with CornerFix and L6.

Had a chance to take out my new (to me) 100mm ZE Makro Planar for a morning at the (crowded!) Portland Rose Garden. Just getting started with this wonderful lens, and exploring telephoto shots, but I'm loving it so far.
f/13, 1/180, iso 100, 5dii, abstract photo of a Lee Kelly sculpture
f/2, 1/1500, iso 100, 5dii, fountain and flowers
First one run through Silver Efex 2 + Lightroom to create the B&W, second one just converted to jpg in Lightroom and essentially SOOC.
Is anyone using the 25mm f/2 Distagon? I'm considering one for some fall travels but it doesn't seem to be very popular in this thread or elsewhere, and I'm looking for any thoughts or experiences from users. Thanks!

akul has taken some beautiful shots with that lens. Check up thread a bit and enjoy; it appears to be an excellent wide option.

Found a willing subject for my first real closeup shots with my new Makro Planar 100/2 ZE mounted on the A7 Classic. I was worried I'd regret parting with my C/Y Planar, but I'm really pleased with this lens so far.

I can't speak for others, but the for me most of the image sizes in this thread are excessive both in terms of download time (over a minute per page) and fitting on my monitor (a high-end 27″ Eizo). And I can't reasonably post if I'm not reading.
And, yes, some posters have moved on to other equipment.
