I have no idea why, but Japie just starts to lie on top of Femmus every now and then. Maybe he's looking for a warm spot (he came straight from my lap), but I'm sure he sometimes wants to be in THAT specific basket and hopes Femmus just leaves, which he normally does. I always grab my camera when this happens, it' a strange view with the empty basket next to it.

Couple of my pics from few years back... That's D50 with a 50mm f/1.8 lens. This lens really opened my eyes to what you can do with proper equipment.

D700 and Tamron 28-75 f/2.8
It definitely looks as though Femmus is complaining to you about the situation...
If I found Heineken in my fridge, I would have that same strange look, I guess. Even if it's one of the most exported beers in the Netherlands, there are some that are WAY better , (at least to my taste)
Funny shot.

Rinie, I can get them when they are snoozing, and make jst enough noise to get them to open their eyes, . Other times, if I try it, they'll get right up in the lens too, just a question of the right time in their nap, I guess. The shots with Felix, I put the camera on the floor and used Live View to do the manual focusing, and Felix was hoping that there would soon be food in the bowls that were off camera.

Lovely shots of your cats, Cat. I wonder how you do that, my cats usually come up to me, when I try to take a close -up.
Ok, I'm not much for cat shots. I've never posted one and I'll probably never post another. But last night as I was testing a lens, I came under attack:

My neighbor's cat Jake was busy grooming himself when I arrived home this afternoon. Because I had a camera in my hand with the 180 f/2.8 AI-s ED lens mounted I couldn't resist taking a few shots as he "washed" his face...

Ahhh, you're back! Everything alright?
Lovely shots. My red one was in a tree for a whole evening and night, and couldn't come down anymore. It took a couple of months before he even dared to touch the short trunk that I had in my house.
