Can anyone tell me if the AA battery holder from the Nikon grip fit the Zeikos grip? I have spare Nikon holders and in very cold weather have to change often.
Has anyone noticed that what had been a $60 grip at B&H is now up to $75? You'd almost think someone from B&H was reading this thread and saw all the interest, wouldn't you?
It was on sale at $60 when I bought it. The sale must have ended! Now they're just selling it for the same price as everyone else. I'd buy it again at $75 though. It's still 1/4th the price of the Nikon equivalent!

I ordered a Meike grip from China and it arrived today. Cost was $72 US and free shipping. Arrived sooner than I expected with no customs fees. Fits and works like a charm. Comes with AA and ENel3e battery trays. No issue with removing the battery from the grip while the camera is still on. Screen menu for battery power automatically switches from 2 battery display to one when battery from grip is removed. Joystick in grip works flawlessly as well - something I'm really enjoying. I don't have an original grip to compare it to but it feels similar to mb-d200 grip I had. I'll be taking it out for a real-world test this weekend at a baptism.
From this thread alone, I will be buying when I buy my D300s in a couple of weeks, thanks for the video review and everyone else chiming in to say what a great grip it is!
Surely I'm not alone in my experience that my D300s will not run without a battery in the Zeikos grip, but it feels like it when people rave about how awesome the grip is despite that major, major flaw.
