Thanks! This was a crude setup... done in my kitchen on my black glass stovetop with black foam core behind the pepper. I used the overhead kitchen lights and a flashlight. The camera was on a tripod, of course.

Thanks, Carolyn. I suspect the pepper really was screaming! After seeing a documentary in 1979 about how plants register a reaction when hooked up to a lie-detector machine, I've never looked at them the same way again. They react to our thought about harming them, as well as harming them or harming other living things. It's amazing.
