645D set to announce again in just TWO Days !!!!!!

645D was first announced at PIE show in Japan March 2005.

Whats was old is re-newed again

5 years wait & another 645D annoucement due in 48 hours, maybe this time with OFFICIAL PRICE & AVAILABILITY Date & its assorted newly designed for digital sensor lens lineup ?

I guess the one good thing about this long gestation period is that this should be one hell of a refined camera.

$9,400 body only price and $1,100 for the one and only weather resistant lens announced should prove successful.

That 35mm 645 lens isn't going to be as wide as it is on film body.

645D is a smaller 44mm x 33mm crop format type sensor.

According to my Pentax 645D film camera specs:
Lenses are designed for 56mm x 41.5mm format.
So 645D's crop factor is

So, the focal length of a "DA 645" lens with the same FOV as the 35mm would be about 26 - 27mm? I am wincing a little just thinking about the prices that some of the used FA and A 645 lenses are going to be commanding soon.
