I got my wife an iMac and she got me a Macbook. All without any planning. Kinda cool how that worked out!
Nice! We both got each other things related to our respective sports (me-mountain biking, him-running) so we were kind of thinking alike, as well! I'm hoping for that MBP in the spring, though!
I guess I should mention the green laser pointer.... originally for use to point out stars and stuff to folks, but I could strap it to my camera and use it to aim from the hip....
I learned long ago not to ask for photography stuff as gifts. I return things too often because I'm picky. Also, I don't have many cheap items left that I could ask for that wouldn't be super lame to give as a gift. ("Dear Santa, I would like a new water bottle for my backpack because I lost my last one..." or maybe some rechargeable AAA batteries for my new Profoto Air Remote...)
Although I would like a sweet little flashlight a friend of mine has, to keep in my camera bag for help focusing when I'm not using flash and it's dark (not that often) but especially for finding all my stuff in the dark at the end of an evening photo session... That is something I shouldve asked for.
What I got: Wii + Super Mario Galaxy (nostalgic win, but surprisingly dizzying), coupons for The Works car wash for the year (helps look professional when your nice [white] car isn't a filthy gray lol) - I guess that was photography related, couple of nice BR long sleeve winter'ish shirts (TX winter anyways), a Snuggie (rlly), a device for cleaning the inside of my windshield (notice a pattern?)...
We're not done yet
My mom and dad were both gone for christmas... I think my mom is getting the kids a Wii... I want mariokart!!! My "normal" screen name is Donkeykong which has to do with my first car being a tiny 91 CRX and someone commenting that all I needed to do was throw bananas out the sunroof to be Donkeykong.
Glad I'm not the only one, haha. And I didn't mean the Snuggie was for cleaning the inside of my windshield, though it certainly would work for that too.
By the way, did you notice how much static-charge that damn Snuggie can hold? Good grief.

Well that explains the avatar, doesn't it?
Mario Kart's always fun - haven't checked out reviews of the Wii version. We also got a Wii Fit... and apparently the Wii thinks I'm 45 years old. My 37/38 year old friends have a Wii Fit age of 44. I may be within normal weight, but I've got the fitness level of someone nearly twice my age, lol. (I'm 25)
