That's just canon I'm afraid. Their 5D2 clips red way before the image appears over exposed. Best to under expose with reds and push in post. Unless anyone else has a better suggestion?
I tried fixing it in LR 4.1 with no luck, really.....
Trying to crack it, but so far I always have these issues with red and orange colors, the rest is working good.And it is only the 5D MKII and 35 1.4 ZE combo.
I had identical problem here as well and it has nothing to do with MFD:
Great shots indeed Robert. And among the mentioned ones I'll add the last one to my favs with its telltale signature of this lens, and the character that I strive for with the somewhat hefty investment. You make me keep on practicing :-)

thanks! got some funkiness in the bokeh that wasn't there before i "rescued" the shadow detail. will have to play with it some more. i also have quite a few non wide open landscape shots with the lens from the same location to process.
