I don´t know what you mean by color correct but adjusting white balance is usually a part of my workflow. Not always to a true and correct color balance though :-)
Couldn't resist getting one as well (Was looking for the Rollei, eventually got the C/Y MM-J). This lens is definitively one of my favorite, and I own a few.
OK, here is a pic from my first batch w/ it. Taken at f/2, 5D2.
Sorry if this has already been asked or is off-topic, but has anyone had a chance to compare the 35/1.4 in either Rollei or C/Y mount to the Z* 35/2? I am in the market for a 35mm and find myself drawn to the Zeiss offerings, but am unsure of which one would be my best bet. I like the speed of the older models, but also appreciate the auto-aperture and exif of the newer offerings as well. any insight would be appreciated.
What is the best size to post pictures to this board? If they are too small, they lose some of the "3D" look, but if too large, some can't view them. Thanks.

Everyone uploads to different sizes but I find that using 1024x on the long end when Landscape oriented and 800x on the long end when Portrait oriented is perfect.

ive asked this myself in the ZE threads since im curious about the 35/2 but at the same time, id hate to the lost that extra stop and the 35/1.4 is more unique

That is my dilemma exactly. I was also hoping to hear about possible mirror interference.

Well, if you have a 5D or 5Dii, there is the possibility, however small, that your mirror may hit at infinity. Mine does on the cheap Fotodiox adapter and does not on the Fotodiox Pro adapter. I am now in the process of trying to find the best mechanical quality adapter for this lens. I am happy with the Fotodiox Pro, but I am never selling this lens, so I want a high-precision adapter that will stay on the lens 100% of the time. So far the Kindai/Cameraquest adapter looks to be the best. I am going to continue to look as I just want the best fit, I have an EE-S, so AF-Confirm is not relevant for me.
The 35/2 looks to be the better lens... as far as corner-to-corner sharpness goes. But 1.4 is a drug all it's own. Choose your poison, either one will satisfy you, I guarantee it. Also, if it helps, the C/Y 35/1.4 is the best fast 35 I have ever used on any slr camera. And I have tried a few.
Thanks guys. It seems to me that on top of being more modern, the ZE is easier to get, and actually available at a lower going rate from what I can tell. Despite that, so far the Rollei seems to be at the front of the three 35's I am interested, so I am glad to hear there is no interference. The hard part would be finding one I suppose. I find it interesting however that your C/Y 35-70 gave you troubles, luckily neither the 35-70 I have now nor the 50/1.7 I had previously caused problems with the mirror on my 5D2.

You seem to have a less demanding 5DII than me. Lucky you!
