Thanks, Yakim! The effect is lighting plus using the color sliders when converting to B & W in PS CS4. The luminosity is equivalent to using filters when shooting B & W film plus a little dodging and burning of the print as Ansel Adams might have done.
There's so much to learn, Yakim. I have so much yet to learn. On the good side, the more I learn, the more I improve my PP. Each increment of new knowledge is rewarded with better images - improve as I learn! Learning PS is well worth the effort. Good luck!
