p.1 #1 · Night er Day at the Museum

a quick snap from our 'Acro Dome' at the museum I work for... - Planning another shot setup, but I really like the way this frame processed.

Sorry for cutting the arms short, but there was a plant in the bottom left that would have been a real $*^#$!@ to photoshop out....

SO given that, let me know whatcha think

Thanks.

It doesnt really work for me. I think the problem is there are too many cut off elements. The legs, end of the skeleton, part of the pterodactyl. Seems like it may be a challenge to get a cleaner shot, but I'd keep at it since you have access. There may be a variety of interesting angles, and different focal lengths to shoot at. I think a shot up towards the head with shallow DOF might be interesting, shooting with your 17-40, eg.
I think you did a good job of preserving some detail thru the windows. I dont do HDR, but this might be a place for it, especially if you are shooting with bright light outside.

To my eye, the jaws are the most important element and a crop that eliminates the upper half of the image seems pretty dramatic. I agree with sbeme that an HDR-like effect might be effective. Topaz Adjust works pretty well for me.
