Continuing with our recent visit to the US and Canada ........ we left Glacier behind and headed (with some hope of better weather) to Waterton Lakes. It was a bright day when we arrived but it was howling a gale. We had planned 2 nights here but with the village being completely closed apart from our hotel, a big dump of snow overnight and a real threat of more snow we left after 1 night fearing we may be "stuck" there.
Here are a few shots we grabbed on the day of arrival:
Hi David, we know how you feel about being closed down..we were there a few weeks before you but it already felt like they were putting the shutters up for the season. Nice to see some crisp images from here, it was a bit hazy for us. Really like #2 - great clouds! And those "locals" were everywhere!
cheers Andrew
I like the smoke signals over the lodge in the 2nd.
The 3rd is just a really lovely scene....perfect for Hugh's postcard.
Beautiful catch in the last, David. Looks like she got pretty close to you.
Hi, David. Lovely images. This must be the season for strong winds (Simon and I had them in the UK). I really like the way you present the clouds in the second. Very nice.
Thanks for these fine views from your extended journey , David . Your anxiety over being shut in for the winter gives a whole new meaning to the phrase : ' Point , shoot and scoot ' !
Another great series from your journey you really have relayed the feeling of that cold northern wind howling very nicely, nice work on all of these David
