This series of shots was taken this last Aug in GNP after there had been about a week of storms. 5D II With either 24mm TSE II or 70-200 IS.
Let me know which one you like and why.

Jon, I like the second one. The composition with the sloping hillside and clouds pulls the viewer's attention back to the peak. You must have been there the week after we were there; couldn't see anything for clouds and rain. Congratulations on great shots.
#2 works best for me. There is something of interest in nearly every part of the image and great tonal range. Real nice photo.
#1 Not so much. Seems the key landforms all are in the shadows. We are looking at a shaded peak and the backside of the trees.
Curious how tastes vary so much , Jon . My preference is for the first image with its powerful atmospheric feel and that superb mist and cloud cover . I like the others , too , but they do not , to me , have the drama and visual appeal of the first picture . Each to his own taste , I guess !

Well, its good to see that the comments are all over the place, with #3 the clear loser (which I already kind of knew). Thanks for all the specific feedback. I appreciate it.
