To add on to Bart's photos of our experience of moving around in the deserts and canyons of the Southwest, a few human interest photos of us at work and play:
Dave: As always, you create the greatest comps even for more spontaneous shots. Tim may bring an infringement action against you for the shadow against the Wave -- but not to worry, I'll defend you.
I guess I should have gotten one of you with the rappel down Toroweap. : ) Your idea of shooting the stars over lava falls at 4 am with full moon lighting the canyon was a great one.
Me in the Wave? All I can say is while you were shooting the pano I was doing all I could not to slide down, with my gear, to the bottom.
david, nice storytellers, i've never been here and the scale is a lot more interesting than i thought. that last one has some exquisite even light too!
Dave
You guys did cover some ground. I think I see a new avatar in the making. Mine's from Waterholes, so no rights infringement problems here. As Bart stated, your Toroweap idea was inspired. Always a pleasure for me when you guys post.
Glad to see this place with the inclusion of people in the photos. Dave I think you have a real winner with the first one, but I really enjoyed them all. Thanks for sharing.
I just have to echo the comments on scale in these, having never been there (yet) I find the inclusion of people to surprise me on the actual scale of the place, I was way off...
Just awesome you have presented your guys journey so well here. Really like seeing the other Photogs as it really gives one the sense of scale. You guys have a lot of something choosing the Top route with all that gear and under those conditions hats off to all of you many times over. Really no favorite here they all are so inspirational and really motivate me to get me butt to Utah this year. All are beautifully seen David
