Was considering adding Elinchrom to the kit and having a mixed lighting system, but waiting until the Einsteins are released before making a decision. Aside from that, not really looking to switch things up. The thought of buying a 5D1 for travel and misc. work did cross my mind.
I'm looking to move from hensel mono's to a portable lumedyne setup. I'm finding myself always looking for an outlet and it's starting to bug me.
In terms of camera gear saving for either the 24L or 35L. I have no clue which one to get though. I'm happy with my 5D2 + 5D setup. I may sell a 30D and the 5D to fund a 1 series purchase but that's all contigent on the full frame offering coming up.
Get rid of the 30D "backup" camera and get something I want to use alongside my 1DsII. I am torn between another 1DsII, a 5D2, or an original 5D. Obviously the former would be more $$ and I would like to pick up a 35L to bridge the gap between my 24L and my 50 1.4. I think I would use it a lot.
I'd kill for a 1DsIII, but it's just not in the budget right now. I LOVE my DsII. LOVE it.

Normally I'd say glass first, but your 17-40 is begging for FF
Too true. That was why I picked it up also my sigma 10-20 needs to go. I hardly ever use it because it isn't a fixed apeture. I almost sold it before I went on vacation to England but didn't have full frame yet so it was. useful for castles. But for weddings it is pretty much dead weight.
I'm on the verge of getting rid of the 1DMK2 for a 5D. I have reservations but I am craving FF!
Then I will probably look at getting rid of the 24L for 35L.
I'm most likely picking up either a ringflash or lowel id for quick indoor portraits. I'll def pick up the 45ts eventually too. I'm happy with all of my gear though for once.
Hmmm. Our off season hasn't hit yet. We are "off" starting December 15. My main thing is sending our equipment back to have it serviced.
I feel pretty good about our current kit. I wouldn't mind picking up a 1Ds3 - but that's not a priority. I can't think of any lenses we need, and we don't have anything to sell. Actually, I've considered selling our 16-35 mkI and getting a 16-35 mk II. I'd also like to get one studio light - maybe a white lightning or something. The modeling light would be helpful.
BUT - our biggest "off season" purchase is that we finally bought our very first real bed. We've been sleeping on my sister's mattress on my great-grandmother's bed frame. We are kind of ready for something new. It seems to be a fairly wise photography purchase since we need to get our rest ;-)

I like the shots from our 24-105 better thasn the 24-70... if there's enough light. I use it for group shots where IS comes in handy. Usually 2.8 is too slow, also, so I've been shooting primes lately.
That said, my big move will be away from zooms....
At some point after the pre-order hubbub dies down and the next season starts up I'm going to churn our 2 70-200s for the new version from Nikon. If its anything like the 14-24 or 24-70 I expect it to kick tail. I also need to pick up a dedicated macro but I can't decide between the 105 VR or the 60. 105 would make a nice portrait lens and telephoto backup with VR, but I probably like the 60mm focal length for macro better and the lens is cheaper but I've got the mid range pretty well covered.
So glad I don't have to spend my gear money on Elimwhatsits and Lumamgigets.
I'm contemplating selling my 70-200 f/2.8 IS to go to primes but really can't get myself to do it yet...I love that lens. Would you guys get the 135mm? I have the 16-35, 35mm, 24-105 already.
