The reason I like the 1D series is you can add a 1.4X TC and get AF( on lenses over F/4). It is the reason I am always asking about the 1DMkIII as an upgrade.... 1DMkII N 400mm f/5.6L +1.4x 1/800 sec f/8 ISO 250 "Queenie The Hummingbird"

The 1d3 looks fantastic, is it really the best all round camera your money can get you?
The pics here look very convincing. Thx- I'll take a closer look at this apertures.
