Great shot. I would not have guessed it was actually HDR if you hadn't mentioned the fact. Well done with the HDR as it looks very realistic and doesn't suffer from lack of contrast or over saturation.

Actually I'll be the odd man out and choose the second one. I like the slightly nicer color and contrast renditions in the second one over the first.
Either way this is what HDR is supposed to help us with - giving us an image that looks like what we saw instead of cartoon imagery. Nicely executed WK.
Both versions are attractive and I would be happy with both , so no choice from me ! I'm a bit puzzled as to the combination of HDR and GND here ; could you not achieve the same result with one or the other technique?
Adrian - I can't use GND here, because I use Tian Ya filters from China for GND.. Too cheap to get anything even like Cokin.. Though when I start work proper I might get a set of Singh Rays. The Tian Ya GND filter comes only in a 2 stop variety ONLY, sadly that's insufficient to hold back the sun.
As for why HDR, I'm not sure about you guys, but I find that the lesser images I use, the more natural looking the end result, so I don't have to spend too much time trying to make it look normal. Maybe it's just my imagination, but I'm used to doing that so I did it.. :P
