p.1 #1 · Canon 24mm f/3.5L TS-E II

I am interested in the new Canon 24mm f/3.5L TS-E II. I am thinking about selling the 24mm 1/4L and get the 24mm ts-e II. I don't see much posted pictures taken with this lens.

Can people who own this lens share your opinion and post a few pictures taken with it. Love to hear/see from you

Ok here you a kitchen photo taken with 24tse MKII. I have both 17tse and 24 tse and 14mm MKII and 24 MKII as well. However I love the 24mm tse over the 24mkII

I don't think it makes much difference; they're not available (at least in the US). (Someone prove me wrong, please!)

I got one about 3 weeks ago, last time I checked they were in stock at B&H. The lens is absolutely an optical masterpiece!

I've been waiting for this lens from Canon. (3 weeks), and they told me on Monday that it wasn't going to be available for "quite some time" whatever that means. It's been pulled from Canon's own website
I've thought about the 17mm, (in stock), but i'm afraid of dinging that bulbous glass, especially when using hand held filters..
Come on Canon get your s**t together!
btw, great shot Perry! (yea, I could live in that kitchen!)

Thanks Zeph,

After spending heaps of money on camera gear I thought its time that I spend some money on my wife's kitchen. However she keeps saying it is our kitchen as we both eat from it. So I promptly agreed and said I hope you like our camera equipment as I take lots of photos of the family

On serious note, the kitchen is only a week old and we love every bit of it.

PS I could have purchased so much more camera gear instead

Cheers

Perry

I have both but I would not sell one of the other. They are about as different as they come - one is not a substitute for the other. One is for low light, typically handheld work, and the other one is quite exclusively for tripod use, stopped down. You either do one thing or the other - or both, at which point you need both

The 24L has been my favorite lens for 11 years and the 24L2 is a worthy successor which I've had now for almost a year. It allows me to get spontaneous low light shots that the 24TSE definitely wouldn't get. On the other hand, the TSE will allow you perspective and focal plane control. A very different tool. You need to figure out which you need, and get the right tool for that.

I don't know what I am more impressed with; the quality of the photos or the content. Those properties make my place look like a cave in mountain

Thanks for sharing

As Stan rightfully pointed out, they are very different tools, despite having the same FL. The move you suggest is logical only if you don't use your 24/1.4 much and would really like to TS.

Happy shooting,
Yakim.

I have a 35mm f/1.4L, which I really love. Ah the hell with it. I'll just keep the 24mm f/1.4L and get the 24mm TS-E II . Guess my retirement plan will have to take another blow!

I know what you mean. Mine took one as well.

Happy shooting,
Yakim.

Awesome kitchen but I would never get one like that. I'm a messy cook so if I have one like that nice, I'll probably never cook in it.
