p.1 #1 · Changing LCDs?

Anybody know if the 3 inch rear display on a 1Ds3 can be replaced by a higher res. 3 inch display like the one on either the 7D or 5D2?

dont think so. I think the board in the camera is customed to the screen fitted.

This came up when the 50D started shipping and 40D users wre asking if it was possible to put the higher res screen in a 40D

Would be nice if it could

In theory, I'm sure it's possible. Does anyone make a higher res LCD screen that both fits where it needs to go and is compatible with the camera and then has a hack to change the resolution output to this new LCD screen? I doubt it.
