I like your set alot! Number 10 is the one for me. 9 is great too. Out of the landscape background shots 7 is the one that stands out for me. Great job.
9 needs some work:
Main issue is halo over the house. I guess you darkened the skies, and avoided the house by a huge margin all around. Those things are easier to see if you are at an angle to your monitor (a trick Mel and I discovered because our PCs are side by side, she sees my weirdness and I see hers). Also, you could crop in a little tighter so there's a chance someone could see who the people are (I know that's not the main goal, the comp is, but still). And while we're at it, it's ever so slightly crooked. Once it's tweaked a little, it's going to be killer!
@Ben C - Thank you for taking the time to comment, I really appreciate it.
@oneforsorrow83 - I love 10 as well...
@weeums - What a great compliment Travis! You always know how to make my day lol. Seems like you've been crazy busy as well. Here is to a productive, successfull ROCKSTAR season next year. Thank you for your kind words.
@peterfriday - Everytime I get down to Colorado I miss it. Especially the beautiful weather, sometimes this Wyoming wind kills me. Thank you for your comment on the logo, we want it to be prominant however. Clients of course get the photo without the logo so we only have it on there for branding.
@chris_243 - Thanks, it was done with a little 'pool party' action from the TRA set. This whole session look fabulous with a little pool party sprinkled in.
@Mr Malik - Thanks!
@markguilaran - Those seem to be the faves for most people. Thanks for taking the time to let us know which ones you like.
@p150 - Thanks for the compliment on 10. I do sometimes have to avoid the halo effect when dodging and burning. I haven't had a chance to check out the original to see if this was the case, sky was kind of weird that day. As far as the tilt I appreciate you bringing it to my attention. Nothing kills a photo for me more than it being off center. I am such a straight line and symmetry girl. Funny thing about this one is I was never going to get everything to line up as the property is a. on a hill and b. misbalanced in a circle driveway. In the end I went for what felt right to my eye and I think got it pretty close. We did take this photo a lot tighter for a few other frames but this ended up being my choice for the FM post.
@a2rob - What a great comment, thanks for looking!
@siniquezu - on the Eddie Bauer comment, should I take that as a compliment jk. I can totally see what you mean.
What lenz did you use on 5,7 and 8 type photos? I was trying to get these high back ground shots and thinking of waht lend dose it best? Did you crop the sides?
@dimi_arachi - 5, 7 and 8 were all taken with a 28-75mm f2/.8. We also had a 18-55mm available to try and get more of the landscape in if needed but it turned out the 28 was plenty wide. All photos had very minimal cropping...
Thanks Ardent
When you use the 28 did you tilt the camera at a great angel to get the max. head area or just kept horizontaly?
I really like these land scape type shots
