p.1 #1 · Circular polarizer with 16-35mm F2.8 on full frame camera

Hi,

I've been reading some posts and some mentioning of using CP with 16-35mm on full frame camera would cause banding problem, however, I've also seen some posts that people are using that combination so I'm not clear as to what the real deal is, and I'm thinking about getting a CP for that lens. My camera is a 1Ds model.

Please give some input.

Thanks.

The problems with using polarizer on ultrawide lens is the effect is uneven. If you shot contains a lot of blue sky and you are shooting at 24mm and wider, one side of the sky will be very dark and polarized, but the other side will be very light. I still use polarizers on my ultrawide lens, but very carefully.
