When applying a degree of in-camera sharpening does it apply to only jpgs or NEF files too? I am thinking of it in relaton to when shooting both formats at once and only wanting the jpg file sharpened and the NEF files left alone. Thanks
i think with all nikon bodies, it depends upon the raw converter. if you open with nikon software, the sharpening applies but is non destructive, so you can reverse it in post. With adobe and presuming other converters, the camera adjustments are not carried over in raw format. regarding jpegs, its applied in camera and is not reversable.

Thats the way mine works, what ever is set in camera in raw, carry's over in the Nikon software but not Adobe PS/LR or Coral PSP 12
