Well! It seems that you were in the right place, at the right time, with good light, a great subject that wanted to be photographed, with tuned equipment, good reflexes, and all was good. Great job, I truly like the series.

Amazing shots Ken - Love the closeup face shots in #2, and #4, also the awkward position of flight in #6 is attention getting. They are all excellent with great BG and exposures.
Hi Mark,
Thanks for noticing #6. I was hoping for a few more twisted body shots but that's the only special look she gave me for this set.

Great work Ken. My favorite is #8, but they're all beauties. Almost as good as your Harris hawk...

Thank you, Steve. In some ways these were as satisfying as that Harris I got a few years ago but I sure would like another crack at that Harris someday

Outstanding series Sir, the perspective on subject combined with the great exposure control/light/techs/compo push this installment waaaay over the top!! This is my favorite post this week and you were up against some wicked good competition
Tom
Hi Tom,
After shooting this set I sat in the motel room that night tagging the raw files for later processing. I almost went to town on them with the laptop but I'm glad I waited to get home and use the whole arsenal of processing tools on them so they presented well. Glad you enjoyed and I'm sure you're get great shots of the owls this winter that will turn me green with envy
