I pulled out an old Spyder series 2 monitor calibrator and it produces more reasonable results. I ran the i1 hardware test, but it did not indicate any defects. Has anyone experienced similar shifts over the years on a i1 Display 2 sensor? Any ideas?
It is very subjective - the point is to use a temp that looks dead on to you and then notate the temp settings for repetitive calibration. Have your profiles designed around this calibration temp.
Same thing here. 6500k is a bit blue to me. The lighting is very important here. I got 6500k energy saving light bulbs, but the paint in the room is warm, so I guess WB will drop to around 5500k~6000k. After all, I prefer 5500K for my condition.
