Hi. I'm not too experienced with manual flash settings and what a 'good guess' would be for manual power. I am wondering, for an SB-800, if you shoot a photo with the flash in iTTL, is there a way to immediately see what the flash output was? Thanks!

Not that I'm aware of. (Unless its' available in NX2 or something.) I almost always shoot in manual mode since I'm using triggers. I use a flash meter (Minolta V) to get my flash readings.

Use the guidenumber and the distance to calculate the power you need.

Only thing I know about is mode+sel will recall the amount you underexposed the last picture.

is there a way to immediately see what the flash output was?

Check the histogram of a test shot.....
