When visiting the Ridgefield NWR in SW Washington State, one can always expect to see Red-tailed Hawks either IF or occupying their ow favorite tree. This Hawk was the exception. Not sure whether the Hawk was dumb or a nice guy or its tree mates were likewise !

Maybe those l'il guys figured Safety Lies in Numbers. A unique look here. I've been on the auto route through Ridegefield and noticed quite a few raptors there, looks like a good place to spend the day...
