I'm opening the studio up to mini-sessions for Christmas cards. All participants will receive 25 Christmas cards and a 15 minute session. Here's the kicker:
I'm recreating the set from The Christmas Story. That's where I need your help. I'll have 3 different scenarios:
1) Traditional: couch, tree, fireplace
2) Semi-traditional/a little bit 'o movie: same as above, dress the kids up in stocking hats, lots of scarves, etc., just like the kids in the movie
3) Total Christmas Story: add the leg lamp, BB gun, pink bunny suit (someone can wear it if they want), etc.
I want to do something DIFFERENT and I want to be known as the classy, yet fun, studio. I want to be known for my willingness to take risks.
So what is in the Christmas Story that I can put in the set? I've already thought of the usual:
I have never watched 'A Christmas Story', though I've seen ads for it. Will this be adaptive or of interest to clients who aren't familiar with it? Maybe a minority, but just a thought.
[totally off-topic...]This has nothing to do with your question, but you just gave me a cool idea for a sexy ad for chocolate chip cookies. Picture this... Santa Clause's boots around his ankles, big black belt and buckle, cropped so you don't see any of his legs, but you see some sexy legs in heels in front of Santa's... cookie crumbs on the floor... Could also be an advertisement for Levi jeans with the weird commercials they've had lately... just throw some jeans off to the side. [/totally off-topic]
On a similar note... you could also make the famous lamp from the movie. I duno how you'd work that in... Cheesy cowboy hat / bb gun etc. would be fun of course. The tongue on the pole thing would be hard to pull off.
