Shot the Laurier vs Queen's game won by Queen's in penalty kicks in the Ontario Women's Final 4 competition on the weekend. Your C&C greatly appreciated.
Dave: The competition must be intense at this point in the tournament. Looks like you have lots of harsh light to work with. I like the action. I'll bet there aren't many uncontested balls! I best like the shots where you've framed the players entirely (1, 3, 5, 6 and 7). For 2 and 4, I'm wishing I could push the frame to the right a bit . Actually, I think my eyes/brain would be perfectly content with #2 if you just cropped tighter on the left and bottom of the frame--it's the extra space there that's causing me to want to see more to the right. I'm guessing a lot of ice gets put to work after a game like this. My daughter's team heads this weekend to the first round of the D-III national tournament here in the US. A field of 63 from which one team will remain standing on December 5.
Russ it was intense all four games ended inOT or penalty shots great stuff may try my hand this weekend at the Nations which are being held here at the University of Toronto one more friend playing in her last year.
I split this game in two first half on the end line at the edge of the 18 yd box with the 300F2.8 + TC 1.4. In the second i used the 300F4.0IS to see how it would compare from the side line top of the 18 yd box no TC didn't want to give up the extra stop. so closer to a lot of action but more side on action not face up that makes for the better shots as you have picked out. I await the great shots that I know will follow.
