Canon 5D, Zuiko 40mm/f2

Well I do not try many landscape type shots. I liked the moody clouds. So I decided to try a B+W conversion on these. I need to learn PS more to get more out of the image in the future.

Normally placing the horizon smack in the middle of the frame might be frowned upon, but I kinda like how these scenes have been split. Maybe it's the black and white treatment that adds to the feeling...

For me in both there is too little interests. The birds are too small and there are no interests in the clouds. More zoom is my suggestion.

I like the b/w.

I agree with David that 50/50 works in these pictures but still the compositon needs more interests.
