p.1 #1 · Editorial help, please???

I am having an interview with some magazine editor, for a contract job involving photoshooting and post processing when requested. My question I guess is what is the reasonable pay for this type of work?

Well if it's SI or Newsweek it's going to be a lot more than if it's the SW Oklahoma Quail Hunting Journal. You may want to give a little more info.....lol

Well, it's a community weekly news magazine. Most of it's space for commercials; mortgages, real estate etc. I think my work will be cover and some of content. I don't have a details yet

I think that is why people charge based on circulation.

First two hits on Google.com

http://www.nppa.org/professional_development/business_practices/pricing.html

http://proofpositive.com/articles/531/1/How-to-Price-Your-Photos-and-Photography-Services/Page1.html

If you are doing this as if you were a consultant then you could charge by the hour.

May want to ask this in the PRO digital corner forum.

Good luck,
Jim
