Hi, I've created a website to use as a portfolio of my work and also to host client photographs (well, my fiance' has done most of the work) www.dvphoto.com.au. I'm mainly interested in doing wedding and portrait photography and at this stage my photography is a side business as I'm employed in another industry full time. I've engaged logodesignworks.com to create a logo for my business and they've come back with a few options for me (see below). Can anyone please give me their opinion on what would be more successful/appealing keeping in mind it would be used for watermarking aswell. I'm leaning towards option 2 or 2.1 (maybe with different colours) but 4 females close to me are all keen on logo 1 and 1.1. http://picasaweb.google.com.au/lh/photo/esRXLA1gLQdak7sdolq3dw?feat=directlink
Rule #1 - A good logo ALWAYS looks good as B&W. For this reason, I don't know if #1 will work well because when it goes black and white, the Text of the name competes with the background. Otherwise, I think it looks great in color.
Don't care for #3. #2 is good but I don't care for it. My fav is #1, maybe make some slight alterations for the BW version?
