Hi all,
Here are a few from this weekend. This Junior AJHL team played a regular season game with pink jerseys, socks, laces and tape to raise money for a Breast Cancer survivor in the area. All shot with a D3, 300 f2.8, 1/800, ISO6400. A bit of Noise Ninja in post.
The first shots are a series - the last (where the player gets checked into the goalie) is just in there to show how the play ended. I included a rather basic pre-face-off shot of two players shoulder-to-shoulder as an example of a type of shot that is not difficult to get but popular with parents. With the 300mm, I end up with many 1/2 or 3/4 length shots. I much prefer shooting the 300 over my 70-200 VR despite the fact that I get less full body shots.
