Excellent captures, Shelley. Beautiful color and fur detail in these. I really like the last landscape shot: pleasing colors and lighting. I do see some halos around the mountain edges on my monitor, but they don't take away from the beauty of the image.

Very nice photos. I like all of them, except the light in 9 is too harsh (it makes his fur glossy! ). Also, 9 looks too low, like you should have gotten down to eye level with him. Very nice capture on the landscape!
Thanks.. appreciate the feedback.

And you do landscapes too? Wow. The bears are great and so many good ones. Everytime I found my favorite the next one replaced it in that position it seemed.
Nice work all round. Take care. Bob
Thanks for the kind and generous remarks Bob.

Great set! I love the cub up the tree and the one in the snow.

Thanks Sean. I remember back about 3 years ago, I had NEVER seen a bear in a tree ... and in the past 3 years, have seen more than I can count on 2 hands... I guess perseverence pays off, as does being there in the spring and fall.

Where do you find all those bears? Are you carrying your bear protective cage with you from which to photograph these magnificent beasts?
Martha:
All of these bears are shot in Waterton Lakes National Park.. which is just over an hour from where I live. It is such an amazing park.

You and bears sure harmonize Shelley Something tells me that #2 might have been a little scary at first, that look doesn't seem comforting to me! You always seem to capture a great emotion in their eyes, nice work and I enjoyed them all as usual
The landscape is stunning and a treat all its own, nice shot and what a beautiful sight to see!
Karl
Thanks kindly Karl. I appreciate you taking the time to comment;. The sunrise was a treat to see. I am just pleased it turned out. Sometimes the sunrises and sunsets can be breathtaking, and then when I see the result in the camera, I realize sometimes the true beauty can't be captured. So, when a sunrise shot does turn out, it is a bonus.
