Sorry for not the greatest pic of just one White-tailed Kite. Sometimes, it isn't all about the details (an excuse here but true ). The eyes are bright (and intense looking) when the light hit them at the right angle. I like the light, the nice, simple perch and bg of this pic. Hope you like it too

Don't ya love those red eyes! I've been fascinated by them since I found a few Kites hovering near my home a few years back. Great get, Dan!
Thanks Linda. Got to love those eyes. It is why I am never tired of looking for these guys.

Veeeeery cool Danno! I've never gotten one on the ground like that! You must have been wearing your hamster suit again!
Thanks Conrad. They are seldom perched on these isolated branches in the open field. If they do, it's usually far away from people, etc... I just like the perch and the isolation of the bird and branch in the open field in this pic.

I think you have a great capture Dan of a beautiful hunter. I have never seen a kite let alone a white tail, a white ninja or golden eyes.
Yo Danno! You're right. It's not the greatest pic of a WTK. But it sure is interesting in its own way. I like your "White Ninja" but I would have tweaked the framing a bit. You're on the right track with the composition, perhaps a little cropping will do. So glad to see much improvement here, keep it up buddy.
