has any one had a good experience with using this lens in lower light yet?
I just got one from B&H and spent a couple hours testing it. Firstly, it is sharp, really, at the point it is in focus. Even at 2.8.
However, when I got to room lights only, it would not AF properly at all. I compared it to my Tokina, and it was nowhere near as accurate. In fact, when at 50mm, it never hit focus once in that light, though it was better (hit some) in good light.
So, I am curious if I got a dud, and should just get another. Is anyone else using this and getting great LOW LIGHT AF results?
I had some focus problems with it when I had the one, though I can't remember if I had a VC model or not. But it did have focus problems, I dealt with it though as they weren't that bad, just that it would hunt sometimes in the dark or indoors.
