p.1 #1 · Little Girl Portrait-fly away hair

I shot this portrait of a little girl that had lots of fly away hair. Any suggestions on how to remove it and make it look natural?

It already looks natural. Why would you want to remove anything? And what would you accomplish if you attempted to change anything?

PS... It's a great shot. All the technical aspects are right. Real sharp. Great expression. What's to change?

Keep it.

It looks natural and is not as bad as some.

I like the portrait, but I got a comment from a family member about the hair which made me rethink the image.

The fly-aways in this one don't take away from the image.

A few strays, but no big deal. Thumbs up from me.

I too don't think that the hair is a problem, but the expression seems strained and uncomfortable.

Stamp tool, cloning tool and lots of patience. It takes time, but it pays off at the end.

Thanks for the comments everyone. She is a beautiful girl, and photographing her was a pleasure. Her eyes make her a great subject to work with Jody.

Daschund, I tried the clone tool and paint brush, and couldn't get the result I wanted. I'll try a combination of what you suggested. If I don't get a natural looking result, I wont mess with it any more.

You might consider removing some of the most-offensive stray hairs, but leaving the majority right as they are. For instance, the one near her right eye, and the one hanging on her forehead above her left eye, might be the only two that need attention. And because they're over skin, they should be pretty easy to clone away.
