p.3 #1 · TS-E 90mm Creative Uses

Here's one using a tube. No tripod, kinda dark, and I was getting real low to the ground, so technically it is not of the highest quality If I can find anything else really creative with it I'll post that too.

Not macro, but shows close focusing ability; full tilt

If I remember right, I think this one had the 90ts + the 1.4 for closer focusing.

Brent, those food shots are incredible. Wish I could light my stuff like that and get the same clarity in my images. How many lights were you using in total?

I used the TSE-90mm for a job I had for an afghan restaurant. I'm def. not a food photographer, but I was able to get the following shots w/ the lens:

IMHO, the definition of an effective food shot is whether the viewer wants to eat the food. ...in this case, wow, are these images making me hungry! Very nicely done.

pretty much all the posted shots highlight the lens' beautiful rendering properties... a very special Canon lens IMO.

Sahid, I'm trying to understand what you were going for. The food does indeed look delicious, but it looks like your tilt was around the vertical axis, causing a narrow vertical in focus area, OOF on either side. Traditionally wouldn't one tilt around the horizontal axis, making the plane of the plate and perhaps the tasty appetizers in the rear be in focus?

Man, I'd love to play with one of these. I'd have so much fun with flower shots with one of these.

It does pumpkins, too! Shifted to the right to flop depth of field to left-to-right instead of front-to-back. Stopped down to f/7.1 to keep area at left and especially right from looking weirdly out of focus.
