wow...thanks JBPhotog. That's a mess inside. I don't think I'd know how to wire up a DPDT switch and that giant fan explains why it's so loud :-P
It's too bad Speedo didn't put a switch on their packs since it's obviously possible to disable the fans w/ their Explorer pack.

It's actually not that tough to replace the toggle. The difference is the DPDT can have two separate circuits affected by the ON/OFF rather than just one with the default toggle.

I thought about putting a toggle on the pack but then had a peek inside my 2403B and said no way. Talk about wires, yikes!

The Explorer pack doesn't have a switch to turn the fans off, they have not wired the fan pin in the head sockets in the pack so you can never get the fans to work.

I have added a schematic to my photos to help out those who like to see how the DPDT toggle is wired up. I bought my toggles online for a very reasonable price since I had 7 heads to do.
